House of March has been named a finalist in the 2026 Sustainable Business Awards for Disruptive Innovation. It’s a rare honour for a bed linen brand, and a sign that real change can begin at home.
Disruption, as a rule, arrives loudly. It comes with new technology, bold forecasts and the promise of an industry turned on its head. Ours arrived quietly, folded into a linen bag and tied with a simple tag.
This year, House of March has been named on the Next List, the annual list of finalists in the Sustainable Business Awards, in the Disruptive Innovation category. Among the names rethinking energy, food, transport and waste, there is now a bed linen brand.
An unexpected room
It is not where most people look for innovation. The bedroom is a place for slow Sunday mornings, a window left open to the garden and the soft weight of a duvet pulled close. Yet it is also where every day begins and ends, and what we choose to rest in says a great deal about how we want to live.
From the very beginning, House of March set out to make bedding the considered way: organic cotton grown without harsh chemicals, finished gently, and made to be lived in for years rather than seasons. The idea was never to choose between luxury and responsibility. It was to prove they belong together.
The softest thing you own should also be the kindest.
What it means
To be recognised for disruptive innovation is to be told the shift is already under way. Sustainability does not live only in solar farms and supply-chain reports. It lives in the everyday rituals of the home, in choices made quietly and repeated often, until one day they simply become the way things are done.
For a bed linen label to sit among this year’s finalists is, we hope, a small sign of where things are heading: towards homes that are as gentle on the world as they are beautiful to come back to.
With thanks
To everyone who has ever made a bed with House of March, thank you. This recognition belongs to you as much as it does to us.
We will share more as the awards unfold. Until then, rest well.
With love,
Lisa & the House of March team
